On October 28, H4 hosted the first edition of “Qui veut être mon soignant ?”, a unique event designed to bring the worlds of healthcare and innovation closer together.
The concept: to reverse the roles and give healthcare professionals the position of jury members, allowing them to evaluate concrete solutions that address their daily needs.
Held at La Source’s Beaulieu site, the evening was fully aligned with H4’s mission, to build bridges between the field, research and entrepreneurship, fostering useful, sustainable and human-centered innovations.
The event opened with an inspiring keynote by Josselin Meylan, co-founder and CEO of Carewell, who shared his journey as an entrepreneur whose project was born from a real need observed in the field. This introduction set the tone for an evening marked by dialogue and co-construction.
Five diverse projects were then presented to a jury composed of healthcare professionals:
Red drop LAB., transforming a biological resource long considered taboo into a source of insight for women’s health;
EdgeVitals, translating facial expressions into vital signs that can be used by healthcare professionals;
Phonemia, a playful speech therapy stimulation tool based on human beatboxing;
OptiZone, identifying early musculoskeletal vulnerabilities and offering personalized care plans;
SeniorContact, an intuitive app that facilitates communication between seniors and their families.
The lively, participative format appealed to both the audience and participants alike, with direct exchanges, real-time voting and a warm, collaborative atmosphere. Beyond the competition, the event fostered meaningful dialogue between innovation and practice, in an interactive and deeply human format.
The success of this first edition also rested on the richness and diversity of its jury — healthcare professionals from various backgrounds:
Isabelle Brès-Bigey, Donald Glowinski, Patrick Marquis, François Millier, Chantal Montandon, Marion Panaget, Valérie Piazza, Pierre Sutter and Krystel Vasserot. Their expert perspectives, firmly anchored in real-world practice, enabled them to assess each proposal for its clinical relevance, integration potential, and human impact.
Congratulations to:
