What this project changes in healthcare: the problem to solve

• A shortage of speech therapists leading to 12 to 18 months of waiting for children with speech and learning disorders, delaying care and affecting their development.
• No structured solutions to support families during this waiting period, leaving them without guidance or adapted tools to help their children progress before accessing care.
• A lack of modern, engaging and personalized tools capable of motivating children and strengthening oro-motor and articulation skills to complement speech therapy.

The proposed solution

• A playful and personalized speech-therapy training app, available as soon as a child enters a waiting list, turning lost time into time for progress.
• An innovative method: Beatbox Therapy, based on musical, rhythmic and motor exercises, scientifically designed to improve articulation, breath control and oro-myofunctional skills.
• An AI system capable of recognizing beatbox sounds, analyzing articulatory movements and providing precise feedback.

Hands-on support from H4

• Clinical and field connections through partnerships with La Source, Vidymed and the Gaïa health center, providing access to experts, families and real-world testing environments.
• Early validation of the therapeutic approach through collaboration with speech therapists and care centers within the H4 network.
• Structured support during the pilot phase by helping frame the literature review, tests, protocols and integration of the app with children and therapists.

Impact on the next steps of the project

• Acceleration in identifying clinical utility evidence through literature review and pilots conducted with partners (Clinique de La Source, Vidymed, etc.), strengthening the scientific credibility of the product.
• Reinforcement of medical legitimacy, essential for launching initial studies, building therapeutic protocols and preparing for clinical validation.
• Easier access to families and therapists, enabling the creation of an early community (over 30 families and professionals engaged), crucial for refining the app and finalizing the MVP.
